BibliU 2024: A Year in Review

2024 was a transformative year of growth at BibliU as we expanded our services, forged new and meaningful partnerships, and brought our innovative solutions to the forefront of education.

From landmark achievements in sustainability to expanding our impact through customer collaborations and campus services, BibliU continues to redefine the academic and campus store experience for faculty and students alike. Here are the highlights that made this past year unforgettable:

Transforming Campus Stores with BibliU Campus

In 2024, BibliU introduced BibliU Campus, a new division dedicated to campus store management solutions. This expansion solidifies BibliU’s commitment to supporting institutions with innovative, flexible, and comprehensive store solutions.

  •  Universal Learning+: Universal Learning+—a game-changing solution introduced by BibliU —bridges the gap between physical and online store operations. By enhancing digital content delivery, Universal Learning+ helps institutions offer students a more seamless and affordable learning experience.

  • 13 New Store Openings: BibliU launched 13 new campus stores, including state-of-the-art bookstores, pop-ups, and eCommerce solutions. These stores offer affordable, accessible materials while integrating seamlessly into institutional operations to boost efficiency. Each store is tailored to meet the unique needs of its campus, enhancing the experience for both students and faculty.

  • Team Expansion: Our workforce grew significantly this year with the integration of BibliU Campus—BibliU now employs 231 dedicated professionals. This growth reflects our commitment to scaling operations and meeting the diverse needs of our institutional partners while delivering exceptional service. With an expanded team, we are better positioned to offer personalized support and continuously innovate our services to keep up with the evolving demands of higher education.

Celebrating Customer Successes

Our partnerships with educational institutions define our success, and 2024 was no exception. Wake Tech, the largest community college in North Carolina, partnered with BibliU to transform its campus store operations. This collaboration marks BibliU’s largest partnership to date and sets a new standard for equitable access to learning resources, benefiting over 70,000 students. From streamlining the textbook procurement process to enhancing affordability, our partnership is making a tangible difference in the lives of students.

BibliU has also partnered with other schools in the North Carolina system in 2024, including Craven Community College and Wayne Community College, to further expand access to affordable course materials across the state. Both institutions entered into partnership with BibliU focused on enhancing campus store services and delivering more affordable learning options for students. By working closely with each college’s administration, we’ve implemented tailored solutions that ensure students benefit from both affordability and convenience.

South Texas College also joined forces with BibliU to transform its campus store operations, acting on the institution’s dedication to supporting student success and advancing affordability. This partnership officially marks BibliU’s service of one-third of Texas community colleges. Together, we are creating a seamless experience for students while addressing key affordability barriers, ensuring that their educational journey is as accessible and inclusive as possible.

These few customers represent just a portion of the incredible new accounts and collaborations we’ve developed over the past year. We’re honored to work alongside all our institutional partners and look forward to more transformative work together in 2025!

Enhancing Learning with Engage

BibliU collaborated with Coventry University this past year to expand access to Open Educational Resources (OER) through our Engage product. This new offering provides over 30,000 students and staff with a unified platform for high-quality, interactive learning materials.

Key Benefits of Engage:

  • Institutional Cost Savings: By enriching OER, Engage enables Coventry to deliver high-quality educational resources at lower operational costs, supporting the university’s commitment to financially sustainable and inclusive education.
  • Enhanced Content Quality: Engage elevates the standard of OER resources by converting in-book questions into dynamic, interactive formats and standardizing content for better readability and engagement.
  • Content Engagement Tools: Beyond basic content access, Engage offers customizable assessments, quizzes, and in-book discussion features, fostering a more interactive learning experience and facilitating deeper understanding and collaboration within courses.
  • All-in-One Platform: Students and faculty can access all course materials in a single platform, making OER usage seamless and intuitive.
  • Actionable Analytics: Engage provides insights into student progress, enabling faculty to tailor instruction and support based on data, allowing for a more targeted approach to teaching and helping to boost student success.

By leveraging Engage, Coventry ensures that all students have the tools they need to succeed. Learn more about this initiative here.

Pioneering Sustainability with Carbon Negative Status

This year, BibliU took a monumental step forward in sustainability by achieving carbon negative status. In partnership with Seedling, we implemented innovative strategies to minimize and offset our environmental footprint. Our approach includes reducing energy use across operations, sourcing renewable materials, and offsetting emissions through verified carbon projects.

This achievement highlights our unwavering commitment to not only supporting educational institutions but also protecting the planet for future generations. By setting an example in sustainability, BibliU continues to inspire change within the EdTech industry and beyond. We are proud to align our business practices with our values and demonstrate that innovation and responsibility can go hand in hand.
